Get turn-by-turn voice navigation for Google maps in India on Android

By default, for some unknown reason, Google has disabled turn by turn navigation on Android for most countries including India. However a member of XDA-Developers by the handle Brut.all hacked Google Maps and enabled turn by turn navigation for all the countries.

[Solved] MD5 mismatch! error on clockworkmod

I encountered "MD5 mismatch!" error while trying to restore a nandroid backup from clockworkmod. It means the md5sum stored in the file nandroid.md5 isn't same as generated md5sum.

The fix is quite trivial. You can simply regenrate the md5 by copying the backup folder to your computer and executing the following in terminal.

Google finally fixed the tethering bug with earlier released 2.3.6 build GRK39C and released a new OTA update for Nexus S. You can either wait for the OTA or you can manually update the phone. Here are the step by step instructions to update Nexus S to 2.3.6 (GRK39F) from 2.3.4 (GRJ22).
